Who can apply?

The programme is for Christian, faith- and value-driven leaders in the middle of their careers. The organizer names marketplace leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, policymakers, innovators and social reformers across Africa. Candidates should be between 27 and 40 years old, with about 8 to 10 years of professional experience, and must run a registered business or social enterprise.

The faith requirement is part of the call itself. If your leadership is not rooted in the Christian faith, this programme is not designed for you.

What the programme covers

The focus is systems leadership, institution building, mentorship and a societal impact project. The curriculum for cohort 2 lists:

  • Leadership formation
  • Institution building
  • Systems-level leadership
  • Enterprise mentoring
  • Strategic exposure and immersive learning
  • Mentorship, peer learning and collaboration
  • Christian discipleship and spiritual formation
  • Capstone project development

The fellowship is partially funded. No amounts or cost-sharing terms have been published, so ask the organizer what is covered before you plan around it.

How to apply

  1. Check the age, experience, faith and registration criteria above against your own situation.
  2. Gather your enterprise registration details and a short account of your professional experience.
  3. Complete the cohort 2 application form before 1 November 2026.

The organizer’s fellowship page may still show cohort 1 and an older application link. Use the cohort 2 form linked above.

Advice from the Africapreneurs team

  • Founders should lead with the enterprise. The call asks for a registered business or social enterprise, so have your registration details ready and state what the organization does and who it serves.
  • Match your story to the stated focus. Systems leadership and institution building are the programme’s own terms, so show where you have built or strengthened an organization, not only run one.
  • Think about the capstone early. The curriculum ends with a societal impact project, so a rough idea of the problem you would take on will help your application.
  • Confirm the funding split before you commit, since the call says partially funded without giving amounts.
